Born in Kerala, India and heading towards law school, George Chavanikamannil accepted Christ as his Savior while a college student in India. He received a burden from the Lord for his fellow people of India and began to preach the gospel as a college student. George eventually came to the United States where he earned a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. He also worked as the manager for the telecommunications department of World Vision, an international Christian relief and development humanitarian agency. He resigned his position at World Vision to start a bible college in northern India – the part of India with the fewest believers.

God has blessed this work in amazing ways. The 25-acre campus now has an infrastructure of 30 buildings dedicated to the work of the college. The campus is also the home of Khrist Jyoti Academy, a wonderful children’s school that reaches out to the local community. In addition to this, the campus has become the home of Wycliff Bible Translators in Northern India.
The graduates of the college have planted over 600 churches in India and have baptized many thousands of new believers. With God’s help, Good News for India is committed to sharing the life giving Word of God to the unreached people groups of India. We invite you to join with us as we support this amazing work of God.
